Taxi Squad
Up to 20 players (Zero until 2022 draft)
A Taxi squad gives teams extra roster space to keep developing players. Taxi squads can be handled many different ways so this section will clearly spell out the details of the taxi squad for this league.
The 20 player taxi squad in this league is designed to increase the value of rookie draft picks (especially rounds 3-5) by allowing you to keep the players you draft for up to two years before they need to be moved to your active roster.
- Players can only be added to a taxi squad before the start of their rookie season
- Rookies drafted or traded for can be added to a taxi squad before the start of their rookie season.
- After the start of their rookie season players cannot be added to a taxi squad regardless of how they are acquired.
- A player can only be on a taxi squad for their first two seasons after being drafted
- Players heading into their third year must move off the taxi squad (promoted to active roster, traded to another team, or released) before the start of the regular season.
- Promotion from the taxi squad is a one way street
- Players can be promoted from the taxi squad to your roster at any time.
- Players can never be moved from your roster to the taxi squad after the start of their rookie season.
- Taxi squad players may be traded but must land on an active roster, they cannot be moved to a different taxi squad.
- Taxi Squad starts with 2022 draft
- There will be no taxi squad for the 2021 initial season.
- This is to avoid issues with players trying to load their taxi squads in the startup draft. The large taxi squad it meant to allow teams to build through the rookie draft in subsequent seasons.
- The Taxi squad will be increased from 0 to 20 for the 2022 season and beyond.
- There will be no taxi squad for the 2021 initial season.

The Sleeper Taxi Squad settings have been configured to enforce some of these rules. The commissioner can enforce the rules manually when needed.
